Hiding in Plain Sight

I have been thinking a lot about Clark Kent. Yes, Superman.

Clark Kent and Superman are the same dude, but geeze do they get treated differently. He runs in and out of a room and comes back as a superhero and people have no idea it's him. That's crazy. He's not even wearing a mask! But the reality is, it's possible because Clark Kent is invisible.

He has the answers, but he doesn't command attention. He looks down at the floor and tries to minimize the space his giant indestructible body takes up. So no one sees him whether he's coming or going and no one even notices that Clark Kent and Superman are never in the same room together.

You are a superhero hiding in plain sight. I'm not saying run around in your underwear and try to bust through a brick wall. You'll really have to go into hiding if you do that.

I'm saying show up. Powerfully. Command attention because you have something to say and people should listen. Your appearance isn't everything, but it sure is something. It's how you look, how you stand, how you fill a room. Don't let it distract from your voice, your expertise or your focus.

YOU have the power to silence the room and make make people lean in. Then wow them like the powerhouse you are.
